电影《我的母亲》改编自芬兰作家赫基•希耶塔梅斯的同名小说 本片背景系第二次世界大战初期。芬兰与俄国对战，约有70000儿童被送往中立国瑞典，等待和平后回国。故事中的小男童，因为被送到另一国家，演变出自己有两个妈妈、两个家，但又不知那个才是自己真正的家。然而自己拒绝接受新家庭，每天等待亲母的信。及后亲生母的另一段情、养母初时对自己的不接纳……直到养母对小男童的了解、照顾，男童对养母的感情亦视为亲母。无奈战争结束，男童需回芬兰，再次与妈妈分离…… 据芬兰史料记载，二次大战期间，曾有7万多名芬兰儿童被送往中立的邻国瑞典，以躲避战祸。战后，这些孩子大部分陆续回到芬兰，但有近1.5万留在了瑞典，继续同养父母生活在一起。 该片导演克劳斯•哈罗表示，很长时间以来，他一直想拍一部讲述芬兰战时儿童移民故事的电影。

An elderly art dealer Olavi (72) is about to retire. A man who has always ut business and art before everything - even his family - cannot imagine life without work. At an auction, an old ainting catches his attention. Olavi susects it is worth much more than its starting rice, which is low because its authenticity hasn#39;t been confirmed. Olavi#39;s instincts kick in. He decides to make one last deal in order to earn some roer ension money. At the same time, Olavi#39;s daughter Lea (42) - whom he hasn#39;t seen for years - asks him to hel her with his teenage grandson Otto (15). Together with Otto, Olavi starts to investigate the background of the ainting. They find out that the ainting is called Christ and was ainted by Ilya Rein. Olavi manages to buy the ainting, but when the auction house realizes that there has been a mistake with the original ricing, they turn against him. To fulfill his dream, the old dealer must face both the auction house and his own ast mistakes
